RULES & REGULATIONS

Here is a list of the Free Company (FC) Rules and Regulations. Please do not violate these rules. Consequences can range from minor, to being removed from the FC and permanently blacklisted. For the most part, our FC has very laid back members and officers. We rarely have issues with members in the FC. We have few rules, but these help us function and remain peaceful.

Please check this page frequently as we update it with any changes.


  1. NO DRAMA ALLOWED.

    1. If you have a problem with another member, please send them a message and resolve the issue privately. If the issue is still not resolved, you may ask an Officer for help. DO NOT START DRAMA IN FC CHAT. Remember, you can always blacklist the person you are having problems with, OR take it to private messages. Depending on the offense, this could be grounds for termination from the FC.

    2. This includes NO talk about Politics and/or Religion.

  2. Be Respectful to other Members.

    1. Be respectful to all members of the community regardless of gender, ethnicity, orientation, or religion.

    2. This means a zero-tolerance policy for racial slurs and derogatory comments towards gender identification in our in-game FC Chat and our Discord text channels. This rule includes memes and day to day talks. Absolutely no harassment, witch hunting, sexism, racism, or hate speech will be tolerated.

    3. Spoilers etiquette is as follows:

      • ALL story related spoilers from A Realm Reborn up to the current expansion pack need to be avoided in chat. This is story relevant content that would give away key elements of the story or key elements of characters progression through the story.

      • Helping to find locations and unlocking content is not spoilers because you are not spoiling the Main Story Quest.

      • Things that do not count as spoilers are: names of people, names of places, names of Dungeons/Raid/Trials, and memes.

    4. Members found in violation of these rules may be kicked or banned from the FC and Discord Server.

  3. No Self Promotion:

    1. We do not allow self promotion or advertisement of Twitch streams, GoFundMe, YouTube streams, Patreon, alternate websites, alternate discord servers, etc. in our FC Chat and Discord Stream. This includes in-game Linkshells, Cross-World Linkshells, FC communities and so forth.

    2. You may be given approval to promote an outside resource if we decide that it will be beneficial to our community. We ask you to ask the officers first.

  4. Please listen to your Officers. If you are having issues with someone or something, bring it to them. They are there for the FC to make sure things don’t go out of hand. This also means, when told to stop, make sure you stop what you are doing.

  5. Do not steal from the FC Chest.

    1. Please be considerate: The items in the FC Chest are there for all of the members in the FC to share amongst themselves. Please use common sense. Do not be greedy and take too much, leave enough items in the FC Chest for your fellow FC members to also have the opportunity to take some things that they may want / need. If you take everything / clean out tab 1 of the chest you will be placed on the naughty list / moogle mud butt rank / the cabinet rank (depending on the FC) and an officer will contact you. If you do not respond back to an officer within 48 hours you will be banned from the FC. If you take everything / clean out tab 1 of the chest and then leave the FC you will be banned from the FC.

    2. Do Not Sell For Personal Gain: Do not take things to sell on the market board. People buy many of the items to place in the FC chest for other members. Don’t steal them, because you are essentially stealing from people who are trying to help the FC. Consequences faced for breaking this rule range from a verbal warning to permanent removal of rights from the FC Chest or dismissal from the FC.

    3. Airship Materials: Airship Materials are located in tabs 2 & 3 of the Company Chest. Do not steal FC materials that are used for the workshop or from Airship Ventures. Depending on the offense, this could be grounds for termination. Officers who have rights to tabs 2 and 3 should not move things to the 1st tab without permission. We use Airship materials for FC Giveaways for the members.

    4. The FC Chest is not your trashcan.

    5. Accidentally Placed All Gil in the Chest: Please be careful to ensure that you do NOT place your gil into the chest that you are not wanting to donate to the FC because it likely will not be reimbursed.

    6. Daily allowance for items in the FC Chest:

      1. Members are allowed to take 1 Stack of Krakka Root, 1 Stack of Curiel, 1 Stack of Gysahl Greens, 1 Stack of Dyes, and 1 Stack of Battle or Crafting Food per day for their daily allowance.

      2. If members abuse this, then an OO/XO will need to put the person on the naughty list / moogle mud butt rank / the cabinet rank (depending on the FC) and talk to the member about the FC rules. This member will be left on this rank until they acknowledge that they will not break these rules again in the future.

  6. Three-Strike Rule:

    1. Members who cause problems in the FC or leave of their own choice 3 times will not be allowed to rejoin any FC in our Alliance after the 3rd time.

    2. This does not apply to people who are removed due to inactivity or go on leave and are removed due to inactivity and then come back at a later time.

  7. Filing a Formal Complaint:

    1. Depending on the situation, officers will NOT be able to provide assistance without any proof. Examples of proof are screenshots and text logs.

    2. If an incident happens in-game or on Discord we would like a photo of the incident (text log) so that we can address the issue. Please provide the entire conversation so we have context instead of the one sentence that is bothersome.

      1. Please submit all photo evidence to an XO or Nimbus Tupti on Discord.

    3. If you have a problem with an officer, please send the complaint to either an XO or Nimbus Tupti on Discord, or you can submit a complaint on this website.

  8. Promotions:

    1. Recruit to Member: Must have been in the Free Company for a minimum of 1 week.

    2. Member to Senior Member:

      Must do one of the following:

      1. Be active in the Free Company chat.

      2. Be active in the G’ Discord.

      3. Be a longtime member in the Free Company and are always seen online.

      4. Have your character either at or close to max level in one job/class.

    3. Ranking up to Trial Officer: Members can apply via the website for the Trial Officer promotion if they are interested any time after they have joined our FC.

    4. Ranking up to Officer, Auxiliary Officer, Operation Officer, or Executive Officer: Please see the Officer rules page for more information.

  9. The Purge aka Removal of INACTIVE MEMBERS:

    1. We are such a busy FC, that we have no choice but to clean out inactive members. Inactive members are removed if they have not given notice that they will be away for an extended period of time. Everyone is welcome back. We are sometimes unsure who has quit and this is why we purge the FC.

    2. The inactivity dates may be subject to change depending on our influx of active members. All members who are removed due to inactivity are welcome to return should they come back to the game, and choose to rejoin our FC.

    3. We will remove members from the Free Company who have not given any notice that they will be gone for an extended amount of time after each person reaches 14 days online. The days will depend on the busyness of the server.

    4. We advise you to put in a Leave of Absence request if you will be away for more than 2 weeks and have an FC room.

  10. On Leave Status:

    1. This is for members who are taking a break and who have let us know they are taking a break from the game.

    2. They can stay in our FC for up to 90 days on On Leave status.

    3. If a member is purged for being On Leave for more than 90 days, they are welcome back (or you can login and refresh your day count). If you have an FC room and are On Leave and purged within 90 days offline in game or within 90 days of your request then we will refund your room.

      1. Refund does not apply to purges that have not been notified of ‘On Leave’ status or people who have been purged from the FC prior to submitting a request for On Leave status.

    4. Only one toon (character) is allowed to be On Leave at a time. Typically, we would put someone’s main character On Leave.

  11. Do NOT Ditch Events!

    1. Do not leave in the middle of an event. We understand if it is an emergency.

      1. If this happens multiple times and is becoming a trend you may be Blacklisted from participating in weekly events or all free company events.

      2. If you are Blacklisted you will be notified and your name will be placed on the Blacklist under the event section.

  12. The Warning System:

    1. Notification:

      1. Repeated offenses will result in a verbal/written warning. We will be clear that you have received your (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) warning whether it be a message in game or a written message in our Discord server.

      2. Members who cause constant issues, toe-the-line, or are banned from our community will not be welcome back to the in-game FC in FFXIV or to our Discord server.

      3. The warning system only pertains to members, so if you are a guest in our Discord server causing issues, you may be instantly banned from our community.

      4. Warnings / strikes fall off after 6 months.

    2. Warning #1:

      1. The first warning will result in the cabinet / moogle mud butt / naughty list rank only if the offender is breaking our FC chest rules. If you are in the cabinet / moogle mud butt / naughty list rank for breaking the FC chest rules, then you will be in that rank indefinitely until you have acknowledged that you broke that rule in a direct message to one of the upper officers who try to contact you.

      2. Otherwise, the first warning would not be a change of rank for the offender.

    3. Warning #2

      1. This will result in being placed in the cabinet / moogle mud butt / naughty list rank for 1 week.

    4. Warning #3

      1. This will result in being banned from the Free Company in-game and our Discord server.

  13. Role Play (RP):

    1. Non-sexual Role Play is allowed in our Free Companies. Most people choose to do this in say chat in the FC yard with other players.

    2. Erotic Role Play (ERP) or Sexual Role Play is not allowed in our Free Company since we are a family friendly FC. If you choose to ERP do this in a private location or private chat, not within the say chat or in-game FC Chat.

  14. Multiple Alt Toons:

    1. A person’s main toon (character) and 2 alt characters are allowed in the FC.

    2. Upper Officers (XO’s/OO’s) or certain jobs like recruiters may have multiple alt characters on other FCs to help with the day-to-day responsibilities.

  15. We Reserve the Right to Remove Members at Our Discretion.

  16. G’ Lottery will be held each month and end by the 25th of the month. Monthly giveaways will have the ending time on the giveaway. Any giveaways are listed in the discord "Contests, Giveaways, Lotto" category. Please refer to discord and www.geuno.net/raffle for more information.
